About Nicholas
Nicholas Betts
Nicholas Betts is a general practice attorney. Nicholas has experience advocating for clients in criminal law and family law matters. He also has worked with clients to help them with estate planning matters. Nicholas will take the time to understand your legal concerns and he will work with you to advocate for you in and outside of Court. He has experience representing clients in various jurisdictions including: Augusta County, Alleghany County, Botetourt County, Rockbridge County, the City of Lexington, the City of Roanoke, the City of Staunton, and the City of Waynesboro. Nicholas earned his Bachelors’ and Masters’ degrees in history from Virginia Commonwealth University and he earned his Juris Doctor degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
Nicholas is also a civically engaged member of the Lexington Community. He previously served on the Lexington City Planning Commission, including service as Vice-Chair. Nicholas currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Rockbridge Area Relief Association, the Lexington City Threshold Housing Commission, and Rockbridge Area Regional Tourism Board. Additionally, he serves as a Member of Lexington City Council.
